Jazakhallah khair for coming to our blog. We are inviting you to be part of the first global research about the new Muslims done by Muslims.


The purpose of this research is to challenge the stereotypes spread by non Muslims intellectuals and leaders of opinion who claim that people are embracing Islam due to migration, politics, history, economics, gender issues, loneliness, poor achievement, marriages, depression, generational trends and even fashion. Current research fails to link our shahadas with Islam it self and in many cases it is promoting islamophobia against muslims in general.


Inshaallah The New Muslim Survey will gather enough evidence to prove that actually we came to Islam because Islam is the perfect way of life revealed by Allah.By including the views of reverts (converts) around the world, we will confirm inshaallah, that Islam is appealing to all human beings regardless of their race, location, age, gender, social class, education, etc.

The final product of this project will NOT be a collection of stories, but inshaallah a thought provoking book for non Muslims readers. For this reason, if besides being a revert to Islam, you are a speaker, a scholar or an activist make sure you include your views as well.


An additional report will be shared at no cost with the dawah carriers and with whoever seeks to boost the cooperation of the Ummah in the development of our communities across the world.

Muculmanos por Muculmanos

Livrarias e bibliotecas estao repletos de trabalhos de autores nao-muculmanos sobre novos muculmanos e as suas experiencias.

Infelizmente esses textos focao maioritariamente novos muculmanos Europeus e Anglo-Saxons e somente mulheres, certas classes sociais e grupos etnicos como Afro Caribeanos convertidos nos EUA.

Estes autores nao explorao a diversidade social e cultural a nivel global que nos representamos, nem o nosso range de pontos de vista politicos, sociais e espirituais sem cair nalguma forma de ma interpretacao ou representacao.
Nos, no NewMuslimSurvey, preocupamo-nos com o nivel de controversia que estes livros carregam- a forma como destorcem a imagem dos muculmanos e do Islam, como moldam opinioes de comunidades universitarias, intelectuais, governantes e pessoas infuentes, assim como o publico em geral.

E’por isso que procuramos uma amostra vasta desde Australia a Nova Zelandia, Africa do Sul a Jamaica, Mexico, Brazil e Japao.

Para concretizar tal trabalho convidamos muculmanos de todo o Mundo, homens e mulheres, a juntarem-se a este projecto respondendo ao questionario e ajudando-nos a alcancar o maior numero de novos muculmanos possivel.

Nao podemos, nem devemos, contar com os outros para falar por nos!!E’ nossa responsabilidade levar a Dawah a todos os niveis e revelar a verdade tal com ela e’ INCHALLAH.

Musulmans par les musulmans

Les librairies et les universités sont envahies d’ouvrages d’auteurs non-musulmans qui abondent sur le thème des nouveaux musulmans et leurs réalités.

D’une part, ces ouvrages se concentrent davantage sur les nouveaux musulmans européens et anglo-saxons, sur les femmes, sur certaines classes sociales, ou sur certains groupes ethniques comme les nouveaux musulmans afro-antillais aux États-Unis, etc. Malheureusement, ces ouvrages n’ont présenté ni la diversité des origines sociales et culturelles à l'échelle mondiale que représentent les musulmans, ni l’éventail de nos points de vue politique, social et spirituel.  

D’autre part, les auteurs de ces livres ne manquent pas de verser dans l’arbitraire et de tomber, sous une forme ou une autre, dans des erreurs d'interprétation ou des fausses déclarations. Nous sommes préoccupés par le niveau de partialité que présentent ces livres, la façon dont ils déforment l'image des musulmans et celle de l'islam et la manière dont ils façonnent les opinions des universitaires, des décideurs, des intellectuels, des personnes influentes et celles du grand public.

C'est pourquoi, nous réalisons une enquête sur les nouveaux musulmans et sommes à la recherche d'un large panel représentatif de nouveaux musulmans à travers le monde, dans des pays allant de l'Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande, à l'Afrique du Sud, la Jamaïque, le Mexique, le Brésil ou le Japon.

Nous invitons tous les nouveaux musulmans du monde entier, frères et sœurs, à s'impliquer dans ce projet mondial en participant à l’enquête et en nous aidant à faire connaître le projet au plus grand nombre possible de nouveaux musulmans.

Nous ne pouvons plus dépendre d’autres qui parlent en notre nom. Il est de notre responsabilité de mener la Da'wah à tous les niveaux sociaux et de présenter la vérité telle qu'elle est, inshaAllah.

Whilst most of muslims are aware of the islamophobic agenda of mass media such as tv, radio or internet, we need to question our selves about what are we doing to tackle the propaganda in other arenas such as bookstores, university programs, libraries and so on.

Tens of titles written by non muslim researchers are read by thousands of people around the world. Many of the readers happen to be policy makers, politicians and leaders of opinion which in turn can contribute to a hostile environment for the muslims encouraged by these works.

As expected, the main problem of these works is that they all fail to explain the perspective of muslims, even though many reverts have participated in their projects. They do not acknowledge the authenticity of Islam and its divine origin as the real cause behind the convertion of people to Islam and tend to attribute the reasons and the drivers of new muslims to cultural, political or even fashion trends.

Unfortunately, there are no works written by Muslims in the academic style needed to confront and compete with the ones authored by the non muslims. We need to analyze the information and present it in a different way. We also need to make it global so all the converts from different countries are included as well.

So, if you are new to islam or if you returned to the deen after not having practise it, inshaallah take the survey today. We are not promising you time on tv, nor pictures in a magazine. The reward for joining to this intelectual jihad lies with Allah alone.

And if you are the leader in your community, spare some of your time and take the survey as well. We will share the final report with those who contribute the most as it will be a useful manual for the dawah carrier inshaallah.
